The County Connect Family encompasses all the member Farmers, Craftsmen and Restaurants in the Essex and Kent County region. These are the people that do extraordinary things to bring quality local food to the doors and mouths of our community. These are the people who have a story to tell, and a culture to share.
We are grateful for the dedication of local Farmers whose jobs are not easy, and who often times must hold a second job to pay for the farming they love and share. For your time, energy and the fruits of your labour, we thank you.
We celebrate and share those Craftsmen that create local treasures that represent the people and values of our community.
We value the Restaurants who share the vision of our Farmers in providing quality, fresh, nutritious, local food to their guests. We thank you for sharing the story of our region and support your efforts.
Izabela Muzzin - Founder, County Connect
Food, well-being, community and culture are very much a part of our lifestyle. We look back at our family history and see the importance of taking the time to eat with your family, to share and celebrate the effort it takes to prepare delicious healthy foods, and the need for being a part of a community of people to share and exchange resources. All of these reasons, in addition to the birth of our daughter MayaBella, reinforced the desire to access healthy, nutritiously rich foods by ensuring its origin and growth through the people that were growing them. We were fortunate to be involved with Aleksander Estate Winery winery which focussed on using and celebrating the local resources we have, thus had the opportunity to make connections with so many amazing people that were doing great things here in our region.
Over time we realized that there were many people that were interested in the same thing, that consuming healthy, sustainable, local, environmentally sound and nutritionally rich food was important to them. We have met the farmers in this food rich region and heard their stories and their concerns, which than became our concerns too, thus we developed a way to support farmers by making their products accessible to all members of our community.
